Kyla Nakashima
Volunteer
Kyla grew up doing arts in crafts with her family, but also likes playing volleyball, paddling, and baking. She enjoys helping at Art2Wellness because she believes in their mission and also values helping Hawaii’s youth through promoting mental health solutions.
Realizing that mental health is increasingly becoming a youth crisis disproportionately affecting Hawaii, Art2Wellness, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, aims to raise awareness about the crisis and provide Hawaii’s children with the access to therapeutic care readily available in other parts of the nation but less accessible in Hawaii. Art2Wellness offers children a way to access the arts and art supplies, allowing them to express themselves and ease their thoughts.
